Help is on the way

Palmer renters, be aware that very soon you will be able to apply for up to 12 months of rent and utility assistance as the federal pandemic money becomes available.

               To be eligible, the Palmer renters must have experienced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the annual income defined by the federal government must be less than $77,840.

               To check the eligibility status for assistance or preregister for notification can be done through the http://alaskahousingrelief.org. The application starts on February 16th, at 8 am, and ends on March 5th, at 11:59 pm. Payment will go directly to landlords and utilities. Previous recipients of federally funded rental assistance are still eligible.
