Airport Advisory Commission

The Airport Advisory Commission is composed of seven members who serve three year staggered terms and are nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. Residency requirements vary for this Commission.

Meetings

The Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. on a quarterly basis (January, April, July, October, unless noticed otherwise) in the Palmer City Hall Council Chambers located at 231 W. Evergreen Avenue (use the Cobb Street entrance).

AAC Purpose

The purpose of the commission includes the following:

  • To assist in the development of plans for the airport;
  • To recommend methods and means to implement airport plans;
  • To assist in the promulgation of airport regulations;
  • To work with and support city staff in the implementation of airport regulations; and
  • To advance, promote and improve aviation development and opportunities.
