The Matanuska Beat!

A man and a woman playing drums

3/25/2018

A big thank you to The Matanuska Beat, and their great director, Meggie Aube, for the joyful international percussion music they shared with today's audience at the season's final "Sundays at 2" event. Many hands always come together to make events like these happen. A special thank you to Cub Scout Pack 354 Honor Guard with leader Brandon Daigger, and scouts Dylan B., Rayden D., Brian R., presenting colors; and
Boy Scout Troop 54 set up/take down Dillon F., Nayte D. with leaders Frank & Jenn Finn.

This was a comment we received about the performance: "Matanuska Beat gave a great concert and variety of music. I especially enjoyed the duet on the Marimbas (I hope I spelled the right). Seeing the cub scouts presenting the colors and helping out was indeed a real pleasure, thank you. A BIG THANK YOU TO “THE FRIENDS OF THE PALMER LIBRARY” FOR HAVING THE “SUNDAYS AT 2 ” PROGRAM." from TL on Facebook

The Matanuska Beat is a percussion ensemble affiliated with Percussion in the Valley,  who generously donated their time and talents. All donations benefit the Palmer Public Library.
