Verna Euwer

Invitation to the moving party for Verna Euwer hosted by Friends of the Palmer Library

1/13/2019

Palmer Library staff, Friends of the Palmer Library, friends, and acquaintances of long time community pillar, Verna Euwer, stopped by to say goodbye. Mrs. Euwer retired, and is moving out of state to be closer to family.

This amazing lady has contributed so much to Palmer over the years, as a business owner, educator, volunteer, and author, but we're especially appreciative of all her hard work on behalf of the Palmer Library!  This quote is from a 2013 article, by Pete LeFrance, in the Frontiersman, "When I asked Verna why she was so invested in the Palmer Library she quickly pointed to a quote clipped from a magazine and taped to the inside of her folder. It read: “The library is one of the last decent, honorable things going. This is one of the great keeping places of the memories of man”."

Thank you Verna!

Friends of the Palmer Library wishes to give a big shout out to Verda of Verda's Cakes and Things. Her cakes are as delicious as they are beautiful, and this cake designed for Verna Euwer's party was no exception. Thank you for your support over the years Verda!
