Volunteer

line of raised hands with the words, Volunteers Welcome!

We are still accepting volunteer applications, and will contact you when we can utilize volunteers again. Thank you!

Fill out this form for all types of volunteer opportunities.

Our library couldn't run smoothly without the help of volunteers!  Spend time with us on a weekly basis as a Library Volunteer, for a season or two, or for a one time event as a Friends Volunteer with or without membership.

We love our volunteers!!

Volunteer in the library...
Volunteering is a great opportunity to spend some quality time with books. Library volunteers shelve and/or shelf read books, audiobooks, and movies. We're flexible to work with your schedule and provide training. We can provide reference letters as needed.

Volunteers under age 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign the permission form, in addition to filling out the volunteer form.

Staff will call you to schedule training.
Contact Seina, our Library Services Coordinator, if you have questions.
Please note: the library does not participate in the court community service program.

Volunteer with Friends of the Library...
Watch the Friends of the Palmer Public Library Facebook page, the home page of the library website, or the events calendar for information about meeting dates, places, and times.

Volunteering with Friends may include helping with:

  • winter "Sunday at 2" events
  • Saturday Storytime
  • Basket Silent Auction in the spring
  • Trick or Treat Street Halloween event
  • Building Fundraising Efforts

You may choose to volunteer as an official dues paying member of Friends of the Palmer Library, or not.  Dues support free community programs at the library, and the building roof collapse recovery efforts. We're glad to have your help!
