Mission Statement

Palmer Public Library Mission: The Palmer Public Library provides residents of Palmer and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough ready access to a broad collection of materials in a variety of media that record human knowledge, ideas, and cultures; organizes these resources; provides guidance and encouragement in the use of library materials; provides the community with access to reliable and available sources of information and reference, and participates in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Library Network (MSLN), and the Alaska Library Catalog Network (ALC).

Mission of the Matanuska-Susitna Library Network: The libraries within the Matanuska-Susitna Library Network (MSLN) support the educational, civic and cultural activities of their communities, as well as the intellectual, creative and inspirational endeavors of the individual. The MSLN combines unified technology and quality services to enrich the lives of those within the community, and to strengthen the MSLN as a whole.
