Summer Reading

Summer Reading Program begins June 1st!

• Pick up your reading log at the library, or download it here.
• Read for 20 minutes each day for five days per week (or set your own goal) and track your progress on the reading log.
• Bring your log back to the library each week for a collectible button and a prize drawing entry.
• Earn extra entries by completing bonus activities on the back of the log.
• The last day to turn in reading logs and earn prize drawing entries is Saturday July 27th.
• Prize winners will be drawn at our final party on July 30th, at the Palmer Pavilion!

The Geocache has been replaced--happy hunting!

Find the PPL Geocache for a bonus prize drawing entry! It is hidden at 61°35'56.4"N 149°06'39.4"W. Follow the linked coordinates or type "61.598987, -149.110947" into your maps app for a location pin. Tell library staff the secret code hidden inside the cache to redeem your bonus prize drawing entry. Please return the cache and contents as you found them so others can play!

• Dynacraft Men's 15S Northern Ridge Bike with helmet and lock. 24" wheel, 17" frame--for big kids or small teens.
• Kent International Inc Women's Shockpoint Mountain Bike with helmet and lock. 24" wheel, 14" frame--for big kids or small teens.
• Summer Fun Package: inflatable pool, innertube floaties (2), folding beach chairs (2), reusable water balloons (12), a beach ball, and a bubble machine.
• Musk Ox Farm Family Pass (4 people) with book Cozy by Jan Brett and musk ox stuffed animal.
• Anchorage Museum Package: Anchorage Museum Passes (4) and tabletop easel with acrylic paint set, canvas panels, paintbrushes, and palettes.
• Kindle Paperwhite
• Double Hammock with steel stand and carrying case.
• Extreme Entertainment Package: 6 movie passes for the Valley Cinema, and two laser tag passes at Extreme Fun Center.
• Round-trip rail adventure class gift certificate for two (2) adults onboard the Alaska Railroad Hurricane Turn Train from Talkeetna to Hurricane (must be used before mid-Sept 2024).
