Jim Cooper

Jim has lived in Palmer for 28 years.  He was a former Planning and Zoning Commissioner, former Palmer City Councilman and Palmer Mayor.  He was also a former President of the Greater Palmer Chamber of Commerce.  He was a small business owner, and was Chairman of the Palmer Community Development Task Force, Co-chair of the Palmer Pride Committee and Palmer Citizen of the Year. He is a 26 year military veteran and am currently a board member for the Palmer Community Foundation and the National Brain Tumor Society.  He is committed to ensuring the decisions made by the Council are in the best interests of all the residents of our great city and make sure we continue to be "Alaska at It's Best."
