John Alcantra

Appointed in 2022, John has a long history in Palmer and the surrounding area.  John returned to the city of Palmer with his wife Rosetta and four children (Neillan, Almeria, Brodie and Te’Shya) in 2004.

John currently works for the Alaska Job Corps Center in Palmer where he serves as the Business and Community Liaison.

John has served on numerous Board of Directors, including the American Red Cross, the Mat-Su Miners, Palmer High Swim and Dive Club, Palmer Museum and Palmer Church of God.

An experienced project and financial manager, John looks forward to learning more about citizen priorities and helping to lead Palmer into the future and keeping our fine city “Alaska at its Best!”
